- Histaglobin works by:
• binding with histamine neutralizing the histamine1
• blocking the FC. receptors of the basophils and mast cell preventing
the excessive deposit of IgE and the resultant
degranulation and release of histamine into the system2
• inhibiting the production of IgE3
- Histaglobin is therefore
effective regardless of what the allergen is. It is
not necessary to test to find out what a patient is
allergic to.
- Histaglobin does not mask
allergic manifestations, it prevents them.
- Unlike desensitization there is
no risk of anaphylactic shock with Histaglobin.
- Treatment with Histaglobin
comprises of an initial course of twelve injections
and thereafter an annual booster of four injections.
- Always treat any existing
infections before beginning Histaglobin treatment.
Never start treatment during an acute allergic
attack.
