  • The formula of Electropak is as recommended in the S.A.M.J.1.
  • When correctly reconstituted Electropak solution is isotonic.
  • Electropak has a pleasant raspberry flavour and aroma.
  • Electropak is beneficial for anybody who is dehydrated e.g. diarrhoea, gastro-enteritis and
    sports people (but not for people who are dehydrated enough to require intravenous
    therapy).
  • The glucose in Electropak is rapidly absorbed, creating the necessary osmotic pressure
    differential between the intestine and plasma to optimise the water and electrolyte uptake.
  • Electropak contains Sodium bicarbonate which prevents metabolic acidosis and therefore
    micro-crystallisation of lactic acid in the muscles.
  • Electropak contains glucose which is the fastest known energy source for brain and muscle.
 
CONTENTS: each 5,48g of powder contains:
Sodium chloride
Sodium bicarbonate
Potassium chloride
Dextrose monohydrate
Methyl hydroxybenzoate

- 4,0 g
- 0,2 g (Preservative) (0,1% of final volume)
 
Dosage:
Administer in accordance with your doctor’s instructions.
 
Contra-indications:
Electropak is contra-indicated in patients with glucose galactose malabsorption syndrome.
